As the pioneers of forest certification, FSC have 25 years of experience in sustainable forest management. FSC uses their expertise to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests, bringing together experts from the environmental, economic and social spheres.
FSC does not issue certificates itself. Independent certification bodies carry out the forest management and chain of custody assessments that lead to FSC certification. The certification bodies are held to account by Assurance Services International.
